Invitation to Bid

The Board of County Commissioners of Seward County, Kansas, will accept sealed bids for the construction (grading & draining), inside the rock wall, at the Fairgrounds Complex located at 810 Stadium Rd., Liberal, Kansas.

Sealed bids will be received at the Seward County Clerk's Office, 515 N. Washington, Suite 100, Liberal, Kansas 67901, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. The envelope should be plainly marked "Seward County Fairgrounds"

Bids received after the scheduled time will be returned unopened. Bids will be presented to the Board of Seward County Commissioners at their regularly scheduled meeting on March 4, 2024.

Project information and contract documents will be available February 1, 2024 and may be examined at Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc., 2319 N. Jackson Street, Junction City, Kansas 66441. Upon payment of $60.00 non-refundable (paper) or free by e-mail for each set, obtained from Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc., 2319 N. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond equal to 100% percent of the contract price. Such bond will be required at contract signing. All contractors and subcontractors that work on the project must be licensed with Seward County.

The Board of County Commissioners of Seward County, Kansas reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, the right to waive any or all irregularities therein, and the right to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
