Proposals must be sent to the office of the City Clerk, 811 W. Laurel Street, Independence, Ks. 67301, on or before 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18th, 2023. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside “Waterline and Metering Inspection”. If bid is mailed, the original envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope addressed to the City Clerk, also plainly marked on the outside as stated above. E-mail or fax bids will not be accepted. The apparent low bid will then be presented to the Independence City Commission at a 2023 regular meeting for their formal action.
