Sealed proposals for the City of Independence, KS (Owner) for a park renovation project at the Central Park Sports Complex will be received at Independence, KS City Hall, 811 W. Laurel Street, Independence, Kansas 67301 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at which time and place the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after the time stated above will be returned un-opened.

Copies of the plans and specifications can be seen or purchased for a nonrefundable fee on-line at www.drexeltech.com in their eDistribution Plan Room. Additional assistance is available at distribution@drexeltech.com. Information regarding this project can be found in the “Public Jobs” link on the website. Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies, 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214. (913) 371-4430. The cost of obtaining printed or digital documents is set by Drexel Technologies.
Qualifications:
Contractors shall submit Contractor’s Qualification Statement, AIA Document 305-2020 with the sealed bid. This qualification Statement document is available at the office of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) at 104 West Ninth Street, Kansas City, MO 64105 or on-line at www.aiacontracts.org. Upon review of the Qualification Statement document, the Owner shall have the right to take such steps as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the Contractor to perform the work, and the Contractor shall furnish to the Owner such additional information and data for this purpose, as the Owner may request.
