THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT.

The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West, Fort Cavazos, TX, has awarded a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Melling, Inc. 658 South Columbus Street, Alexandria, VA 22314, under the authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, the tentative delivery date is September 30, 2023. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 personnel.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, BIDS, OR PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for a Lumenis Stellar M22 LMX + ResurFX Bundle through Melling, Inc. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, this requirement cannot be solicited. The specific model required is only provided by the authorized distributor/dealer. The equipment and all parts associated are sole sourced and can be ordered through Melling LLC. Melling LLC is the only authorized distributor/dealer. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. A solicitation will not be published.
