Histology Grossing Station
Topeka VA Histology Lab is requesting purchase of a Histology Grossing Station. The current is broken. The current Grossing Station is over 20 years old and beyond its life expectancy. The manufacturer has informed us that the current unit is obsolete, and all parts are obsolete and cannot be purchased to make necessary repairs. This Station is used for dissecting, cutting, and processing tissue and biopsy pathology specimens to aid in diagnosing malignant and non-cancerous findings in a clean environment. This is a Patient and Employee Safety issue since the Station cannot be used in a proper and safe manner to process patient samples. Respectfully Request immediate replacement.
