The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a firm-fixed price contract, N00019-23-C-0020, on 25 January 2023 to Textron Aviation Inc. for the procurement of 10 aircraft with contract options to procure an additional 54 in support of the Multi-Engine Training System (METS) program. The base year contract is for $113,107,250 for aircraft, as well as commensurate spares, peculiar support equipment, instructor pilot training, and maintenance personnel training. The total contract value is $677,206,611. Deliveries of the aircraft are scheduled to begin in calendar year 2024 and continue through calendar year 2026.
The contract was competitively procured through a full and open competition solicited via a request for proposal publicized on sam.gov.
